Rob Ewanuk, PT

In the summer of 2012, after moving to Kelowna from Halifax, Rob and one of his colleagues from Kelowna General Hospital discussed the great need for a mobile physiotherapy service. Rob talked about “turning over a New Leaf” with moving back home to Western Canada. His colleague looked back to Rob and said, the name is simple, “New Leaf Physiotherapy”. With that, the concept of New Leaf Physiotherapy, NLP, was born.

Turning over a New Leaf has brought me great happiness in servicing this wonderful community. Helping our clients “turn over a New Leaf” in your life, whether it is physical pain or achieving an athletic goal, NLP can help you enjoy your life to the fullest.

Rob graduated from the University of Alberta in 2003. He worked in Lacombe, Alberta for 5 years in private practice, working with people to heal their injuries. He then moved out east to Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he continued on in private practice and then worked with the Canadian Armed Forces at CFB Stadacona. Working with the men and women that serve our great nation brought him a lot of personal satisfaction and success. Thus, Rob comes with high recommendations. During his time with the Canadian Armed Forces, Rob became highly skilled with orthotic prescription.

Rob has been busy with post graduate courses. He has successful completed his Advanced Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy, (FCAMPT, Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists). He is a certified practitioner of Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (CGIMS). In addition, Rob is passionate about sports and has achieved his Certificate of Sport Physiotherapy.

Rob, being an athlete himself, has a passion for working with athletes, helping them achieve their goals. Rob especially enjoys working with the local running population. He is endorsed as the only Super-Specialist in the Okanagan Valley by the Canadian website, www.therunningclinic.ca

In his spare time, Rob is an enthusiastic cyclist, whether it be his mountain, road, cyclocross or single speed. He is also an avid runner, having completed 7 full marathons, including the 2014 New York City Marathon. He takes part in the Running Room in Kelowna, for Run Club on Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings and conducts education sessions for the running clinics on a regular basis.

Rob was honoured to be selected as an elite member of a Canada wide team of 40 specialists to oversee the 2015 Canada Games athletes.
